“Our involvement with the Pierson’s Marriage workshops, began over ten years ago.  We also attended their Heart & Soul class, and we have been married for 56 years. Their presentation in strengthening marriage relationships were very insightful, in the following ways:

• Above all, our own personal relationship to Christ must come first.

• Before fixing your spouse, you need to be self reflective and fix yourself.

• Respond to…not react to situations.

• Develop empathy for your spouse.    

• Recognize your reaction might indicate your own hidden “core lie” about your self image.

• Model responses of good behavior toward your spouse. 

• Use “I” statements…instead of “you” statements. 

• Make time for each other. 

Both spouses receive their own workbook and then privately share with their responses at home. This created a safe environment, while in the class, so that answers were kept sealed between couples. This class was open to all ages, whether married or single.

Debbie and Paul always arranged private times for couples to meet for more personal support.  The Heart & Soul class presentations were very well attended, informative, and motivational. We personally learned strategies not only for our own marriage, but were able to pass along some of these techniques to others.  Debbie and Paul Pierson were always professional, maintained privacy, and were available to help couples who were seeking to strengthen their marriage.  We highly recommend them.”
